The BR Close Contact Twin Sided Gel Pad Half Sheepskin Edge features double sided gel application for non-slip performance. The pad has a small profile making it discreet. The gel is anti-bacterial and non-toxic. The pad can be used straight on the horse’s back or between saddle and saddle cloth. The pad is designed to fit under most saddles.
Synthetic Easy-Maintenance Sheepskin
The Sheepskin border used in this saddle pad is Synthetic., i.e. it is not natural sheepskin. This allows for easy maintenance.
The saddle will not slip on this pad.
One Size fits 16″-17.5″ saddles.
Available Colors: Black with Black Fleece, Black with Natural Fleece.

Our regular fleece half pad was creating a pressure point at the horse’s shoulder when used with my daughter’s forward flap cross country saddle. This pad works perfectly with the cross country saddle. No pressure point, protects the back and it’s non-slip. I wasn’t sure about the color, black with natural fleece, but the black doesn’t show at all. I would have preferred white fleece, but the natural still looks nice.
