Reins are the “pathways” of communication between the horse and rider. Many different kinds of reins are available. The reins are looped into the bit for controlling the horse’s movement. The reins must be grippy and non-slip. They must be made of sturdy, non-stretch leather.

Sometimes, bridle sets come included with reins. Other times, you can pick your reins separately. One of the most popular reins is the Rubber Reins with Stoppers. Standard size of reins is usually 54 inches. Some reins are also available in Pony Size.

Dressage reins almost invariably come in only Black color.
